Room updates, and other crap.

I finished unpacking and sorting back out All my lego during the week. And today I finished putting up all my band posters. My room is almost complete. Just need to buy this big CD holder and a small table type thing to put my TV on.

~~~~
In other news, new Disturbed album is being released in a couple of months and they have released a new single from that album, and it's really good sounding. Sounds like it came from "The Sickness" album.
And in other new album news, In Flames is releasing a  new album very soon. And I heard some of the tracks on their myspace. And it sounds pretty sweet, alot like Come Clairty, which I loved that album.
The Time Has Finally Come
After many months of being almost completely Lego-less, I am finally getting all my Lego back today!  So happy about that, it's been too long with out it.
The story behind this is, I moved in December, but in order to make the house look better, I had to pack my Lego up in October to sell the house. I've been in the new house since December, but my room was unfinished when we bought the house. (The old owners used it as a storage room in the basement, so no walls or anything, just the supports and insalation were there. So yeah, it took about a month-two months sometimes in late January/early February when my room was finished being "built" and I was able to move into it. And finally last weekend, the cabinets I bought for my lego to be displayed on came in and were installed on the weekend. And this weekend is the week where I can finally unpack my Lego and put it back for all glory.
~~~~~~

Also with March Break officially at an end (ok it ended a week ago)  I managed to spent every last cent of all the money I had, (except I have 6 cents left) The total of everything I bought was:
-All That Remains shirt (50% off)
-studded belt (50% off)
-Rammstein CD
-another Rammstein CD
-HIM CD
-another HIM CD
-Grand Theft Auto 3
-Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories.

over all, I think I did good (expesally because the most expensive thing there was the 50% off shirt which was $15...and GTA3 costed $5 XD

More Surreal Lego Creations
Here's a new find on Brickshelf of a builder called Xifux. They built this for a contest held by Nannan on Flickr. By the sounds of it (correct me if I'm wrong), the contest is to make a Leg model thats very surreal and in the style that Nannan is known for.

This is just plan COOL AS HELL. I love Nannan's style, and this is just like it. Love it.

Here's another cool Moc by the same guy:

Really cool stuff.
That's all for me from now, back to browsing Brickshelf.

This one is a cool Post-Apocalyptic diorama (that of course I found on Brickshelf)

Personally my favourite part (and that thing that originally caught my attention) was the cool walker. I also really like the ruins.

Here's the Gallery for all the other pictures of this very cool model.

Sims Game Ideas
I just had an amazing idea for a new Sims game.  Lego Sims  That would be Amazing I think.
Build houses out of Lego, just like you do in Sims, but out of Lego.
Make Lego Sims that look like the Lego Minifigure.
And then just control them like you would control a normal sims game, but with Lego features, and Lego's sence of humour that can be found in their Lego Star Wars video games. Like not talking, but pantamiming XD that would be cute and funny.

And my other idea for a Sims game which is also my friends idea (we came up with it together awhile ago)  The Sims Ghetto Have your Sims live in the Ghettos. The expanstion pack includes More urban, Poor, and grungy clothing. Features more grungy and crappy looking furniture. Ripped wall paper, broken or boarded up windows. And includes for the first time ever Weapons, (Knives, Guns, etc.) Now you can Pop a cap in a Sims ass who you don't like.
Also would include random Drive by shootings who sometimes will shoot at your windows (or throw bricks into your windows) or two cars drive by shooting at each other, or they can drive by and shoot at a random sim walking down the sidewalk.
And best of all You can do drive-bys as well!
And also can include Muggers who can mug your sim as they are outside or they can break into your house and steal things, or steal your car.

Those are just some idea's we've been kicking around the office. I would buy them =P

New Lego Video Game
Ok this isn't that new information, but I just haven't writen anything about it yet.

As a "follow-up" to the video games "Lego Star Wars 1, 2 and the Complete Trilogy" the Lego company (and what ever game developers work on the game, probably Lucasarts and someone else) are making a Lego Indiana Jones video game. Which from the very few screen shots I've seen it looks like it will in the same style of the Star Wars Lego games. Which were great (but easy) games.

So here's a couple pictures I've found (of course on Brichshelf)

I will definatly get this game...if I had one of the new systems, which I don't =(

But if I manage to buy one I will get this game, unless I'm lucky and it comes out on PS2, but I dougt it.

50 Years, and still going strong

Today is the 50th anniversery of The Lego Brick.  So 50 years ago today was the day that Lego switched from their wooden toys they used to sell and converted to the plastic building block that is now known as the famous lego Brick.

It's not much of an update, but I thought it was interesting. Plus Google has their name designed to look like a bunch of Lego bricks for today only.

Another Summer 08 Lego Set and more news

I was just browsing around on Brickshelf and I found this page http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=293966 Which shows the old pictures I posted earlier along with better quality ones that you can now read what figures are included

AND the best part a new picture of the Republic Gunship. It looks abit similar to the old one, but it still looks good. And the figures it says it includes are probably worth it for me to pick this new one up.

Death Star II Review
 #10143 UCS Death Star II

The Build
*Sorry there isn't any pictures for the build section, I couldn't find the camera till afterwards*

When I first opened the box, there were four boxes. (just like the UCS SD)
I first took out all the boxes and emptied them, and then began shorting the bricks.
(for any large Lego set like this, I highly recommend sorting out the bricks. It will save you a lot of time and frustration)
The sorting process took me about an hour (or one CDs length, which is about 45 minutes or so, close enough)

Once all the pieces were sorted it was time to start building. You start off with building the support beam. Which is fairly simple and straight forward.

Once all that is done, you start by building the lower left quarter. This is also straight forward, but very repetitive because you have to build two different parts about 3-4 times each.

Now comes the more harder part, the Large greeble sections. Since there are obviously two sections, I don’t recommend building both at the same time, that will get a bit annoying, and you will run out of a room because these things are fairly wide.
Pay attention to the instructions closely in this part because the more layers that are added the more confusing it gets to tell on the picture which layer is which. And it’s hard to see some smaller pieces that are randomly placed in places.
Once you get the first one done, you attach it to the lower right hand quarter of the Death Star. When I first did this it was pretty annoying because I forgot to attach a bunch of pieces that were crucial to attaching the large chunk to the stand. Plus it also just didn’t want to go in to the darn holes.
But after a couple minutes of swearing and getting frustrated it finally went in.

Then you build the other one, doing that whole thing over again. But this time when you’re finished it’s pretty easy to attach it to the support, since its not hanging upside down.

After that the hardest parts are done, now you start doing more repetitive building, by building the tiles for the last quarter. The only non-repetitive part in this section is the super laser.

Once that is finished, you build the Super Star Destroyer and your finished.

When I finished I was surprised on the amount of extra pieces, though some were probably suppost to be on the set somewhere and I just missed them. But the greeble pieces I managed to attach randomly throughout the model.

The only problems I had with the finished model were that the two side layers on the top didn’t like to stay down. But with a few minor adjustments I solved that problem.

Heres all the pictures I took of the Death Star if you want to see.

New 2008 Star Wars Lego Revealed
Yesterday I was shown to some pictures from a friend.

Man, are these Sweet. 3 new pictures of the new Star Wars Clone Wars line up, probably being released in spring or summer of 08.

And even better my friend sent me a list of the other sets that are expected for next year.

7673 Magna Droid Fighter
7674 V-19 Torrent,
7675 AT-TE
7676 Republic Gunship
7679 Fighter Tank TX 130S **
7680 Twilight ---> TRU Exclusive
7681 Homing Spider Droid ---> TRU Exclusive **
7678 Tie Defender or 7678 Droid Gunship** (Unconfermed)

*The bolded ones I'm Really looking forward to.*

All I can say is I'm looking forward to this year's Lego .

I hope the Magna Droid Fighter comes with Magna Guard figures, because those would be great to include into my collection.
The AT-TE looks good, but I have the old version, and unless this set comes with alot of great features (or I get a large amount of money) then I probably won't get it.
The Gunship as well, except I don't know what it looks like yet.

Not intreseted in a Tie Defender that much, and I don't even know what the "Twilight" is.

The TX 130S I'm very excited for, its definatly my favourite land vehicle.

And lastly the V-19, I'll end up buying, it's nice looking, but nothing great.
I'm also very excited for the Spider Droid and Hopefully Droid Gunship, because both of those are great ships.
